Dr. Betts graduated from the Univ of Michigan School of Dentistry and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and his MS degree in OMSurgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He has served as an assistant professor at the Univ of Pennsylvania, an associate professor and chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, chairman of the UMDNJ Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at the DVA New Jersey Health Care System in East Orange, New Jersey, chief of service of the Department of Dental Medicine at UMDNJ University Hospital, associate professor and chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/ Hospital Dentistry at the Univ of Michigan School of Dentistry, and chair of Hospital Dentistry in the Univ of Michigan Health System. Since 2002 Dr. Betts has been in the private practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in a group practice in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area.
