Jean P. Narcisi

Jean P. Narcisi is the Director of Dental Informatics for the American Dental Association (ADA). Jean’s primary responsibilities include the management and coordination of the internal and external activities related to the areas of electronic data interchange (EDI); electronic health record and vocabulary standards; the use of technology in dentistry; and federal and state administrative simplification activities. Jean is currently serving as the Chair of the Board of the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) and previously served as WEDI’s Vice Chair of Marketing and Communications; Jean is Vice-Chair of the HIPAA Designated Standards Maintenance Organization (DSMO) Steering Committee; and Past-Chair of the National Uniform Claim Committee (NUCC); she is currently an ADA representative to the Dental Special Interest Group of the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO); and was appointed as an expert by the ANSI-Accredited U.S. Technical Advisory Group to the ISO/Technical Committee 215 (Health Informatics).
