Dr. Mathews received his undergraduate and dental education at UCLA in 1969 and certificate in Periodontics from the University of Washington in 1974, since which time he has been in full time practice. He is also an affiliate professor in the University of Washington Graduate Periodontics Deppartment. He is a member of several organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology and the Northwest Network for Dental Excellence. He writes and lectures on the orthodontic/periodontic interrelationship, implants in the esthetic zone, and interdisciplinary dentistry.
